The United States Africa Development Foundation (USADF) has pledged to continue to support the growth of small businesses across Africa.
The Communications Executive, Nigerian-American Chamber of Commerce (NACC), Ebuka Ugochukwu, disclosed this on Wednesday in Lagos state, South Western Nigeria.
According to him, the Regional Director, Anglophone Africa, USADF, Tom Coogan, had made the pledge during the chamber’s recent trade mission to the US.
‘‘The Foundation would continue to provide seed capital and local technical support to early stage agriculture, off-grid energy and youth-led enterprises in Africa. The US investment in local economic development would improve lives, foster peace, security and boost trade between US and its African counterparts,‘‘ he said.
Nigerian Ambassador to the US, Sylvanus Nsofor, commended the Chamber for taking the lead to link local businesses to global enterprises.
Nsofor reassured the Chamber of continued support in the US, as the Embassy was willing to assist businesses in every capacity possible.
