The Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE)’s market capitalisation closed at N13.584 trillion, after falling by -0.28 per cent or N38 billion from N13.622 trillion.
Similarly, the All Share Index (ASI) which opened trading activities at 37,605.12 basis points, fell by 106.05 basis points or 0.28 per cent to close on Wednesday at 37,499.07 basis points.
A total of 505.74 million shares valued at N3.126 billion were exchanged by investors in 3,906.00 deals with
21 shares recording gains while 24 others declined.
May & Baker Plc led the gainers after it rose by 20 kobo or 9.76 per cent to close at N2.25 per share after opening at N2.05 kobo per share.
FCMB Group Plc followed with also with a 20 kobo (9.62 per cent) gain to close at N2.28 kobo per share.
Japaul Oil and Maritime Services Plc was the day’s third top gainer after it appreciated by three kobo or 9.09 per cent to close at 36 kobo per share.
Forte Oil Plc led 23 other losers for the day. It fell by N2.90 or 10 per cent to close at N26.10 per share, down from an opening price of N29.00 per share.
McNichols Plc was down by nine kobo or 10 per cent to close at 81 kobo per share, while Omoluabi Mortgage Bank Plc shed six kobo or 9.38 per cent to close at 0.58 kobo per share.
