EBA AND EGUSI
This is an African meal(it actually belongs to the yoruba’s).To prepare eba, here are the steps to follow:
1)Get a clean pot, pour the desired amount of water(depending on the number of people you want to prepare the food for).
2)Allow water to boil to about 100 degree Celsius
3)After the water boils well, you can reduce some amount of boiled water into a bowl or cup(so as to avoid excess water in the eba).
4)Now, measure the desired amount/quantity of garri (cassava powder) ,pour into the boiled water in the point and stir continuously using a turning stick(orogun) until it is well mixed. if need be, you can pour the reserved boiled water into your eba to make it soft to taste.
5)mould your eba into a clean plate with the use of “igbakor”. Its ready to serve!!!!
Egusi soup can be prepared as follows:
1) Put some amount of grinded egusi(already grinded with crayfish, onion, pepper) into a bowl, mix with the required amount of clean water to form into a paste.
2)Put a clean pot on a stove or gas cooker and pour a required amount of palm oil into it.
3)When the palm oil is a little bit hot, pour carefully the egusi mixture into it.
4)when it fries a little bit, add some quantity of water and stir.
5)After 5 minutes, pour some vegetables and fish, already boiled meat, snail, stock fish(as desired) into the semi-ready egusi soup. Cover the pot and allow to boil for some time.
6)Uncover the pot, stir and taste.
7)Dish your egusi soup close to the eba and serve.
